In the beginning of the year, the owners of  Xperia Z3 had the long wait a few months to finally taste the Android 5.0 update. Indeed, launched in September 2014, the latest version of Android arrived on Sony smartphones and tablets as of March. Long wait for users, which should, with Android 6.0, able to enjoy a much shorter period.

That's why Sony should quickly begin the deployment of the Marshmallow upgrade to the Sony Xperia Z5.

The new version of the Android system does not settle with literally Android Lollipop (visually speaking), but nevertheless optimizes many features, including better management of autonomy, through better management of applications on standby. Sony has already confirmed compatibility of its Xperia and Xperia range Z3 Z5 with Android 6.0, and a little less than fifteen Sony terminals should soon be able to migrate to Marshmallow.

Now, if Sony has been rather quick to provide a list of terminals that will update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the manufacturer is less ready to come out against the patch. However, the case could soon settle since this version of Google's mobile OS, with the Sony interface, has been certified on some brand appliances. Thus, the deployment of the update OTA could start within days, in Japan at least.

Indeed, the upgrade was certified for Xperia Z5 of NTT Docomo and SoftBank (Japanese operators) for NTT Docomo Premium Z5, but also for the Xperia Z4 NTT Docomo and SoftBank. In total, 14 aircraft that Sony promised to update in the coming weeks, with all the Z5, Z3 and Z2, and the Xperia M5, M4, Ultra C5, C4. And slate hand, the Xperia Tablet Z3 and Z4 Tablet Ultra Compact there will also be eligible.
